WRITING AND REVIEWINGWriting We want to hear about your college textbook writing plans. To make prompt publishing decisions, Lyceum editors prefer to review a publishing proposal. Your proposal should include the following information. Introductory or stage setting remarks. Please identify the two most likely course titles (and educational levels) and the departments that would offer the courses. A table of contents as detailed as possible at this point. An explanation of why this book is important. Why the book follows the organization that it does. What important themes and perspectives does this book offer that are (or are not) evident in the table of contents. What are three books you would consider assigning if your book did not exist. Describe how your book is better for teachers and students. If available, include a preface or introduction and two sample chapters. Please address your proposal to David C. Follmer, Lyceum Books, 5758 S. Blackstone Ave., Chicago, IL 60637. We prefer that you mail us the materials. Reviewing Please let us know if you would like to review new manuscripts and textbook revisions in social work and general human services.
